How to make a homemade 'Iced coffee'

Let's see how to make, in 5 simple steps, a delicious Iced Coffee at home, which will come in handy now that summer begins. And to top it off, we are going to add some milk, syrup and vanilla ice cream.

specialty coffee - iced coffee with milk

There are so many ways of preparing cold coffee, that there may be a little confusion about Iced Coffee ... the term 'iced' refers to coffee served iced; not hot coffee that is cooled with ice.

Ingredients

  • Coffee (2-3 cups)

  • Milk (1 cup)

  • Vanilla syrup (1-2 teaspoons per glass)

  • Vanilla ice cream (one scoop per glass)

Recipe Prep

1.

We fill an ice bucket with a cup of coffee (depending on the size of the bucket, we may need up to two or three cups of coffee),

2.

We freeze the ice bucket with the coffee (this may take about 3-4 hours),

3.

Once the coffee is frozen, we add the coffee ice cubes to each glass and add a little of the coffee that was left over, or better yet, prepare a new one,

4.

Little by little we add the milk and the syrup.

Of course depending on how milky and sweet we want it, we add more or less milk and syrup.

5.

And finally, we serve a scoop of vanilla ice cream in each glass.

And that's all we need to do to make a sweet, refreshing, and fragrant drink! Always remember to use a specialty coffee as a base, so that you can precisely enjoy all its characteristics of flavor, fragrance and aroma.

Note: Although the most common is to add syrup and sometimes ice cream, we prefer not to do so in order to enjoy the true flavor of the coffee we are using. But that is already according to the need or creativity of each one :)
